We have seen a lot of extraordinary jobs here at the Voom Group. This month, we would like to spotlight one from a partner that has been with us for over a decade.
As this Church has grown, so has their creativity. These jobs show off some of that genius. They convey a theme for the week, either to a specific message or to an entire series lasting months. Keeping their members informed is just one of the problems that these materials solve, the weeklies also act as a marketing tool.
On each of these jobs, there are perforated cards that can be filled out and turned into the welcome center or they can be taken outside where members meet new people. This is an easy way for a potential member to easily get information regarding the Church.
A key aspect to the design of these beauties is the paper. Each one has slight variation of paper stock being used. The stock of the paper, which you can learn more about in another blog, determines how thick a piece is. There are also specialty stocks and our customer uses those very well. One stock in particular feels like canvas. Naturally, they printed a canvas design on the cover to give the reader the tactile sensation. They used that same stock on another piece but this time, instead of printing a canvas design, they used earth tones and created a wholesome feel with the same paper.
These jobs really drive home how important the little things are. When buying print, you must really think about your audience and how they are going to digest the information that is given to them. If our customer had used a glossy, shiny finish for that earthy project, would it have given the same feeling of the natural, wholesome message portrayed in the pages? That addition of a perforated card at the back of the book also drives home the meaning of welcoming and spreading a word.
