Voom entered and won!
PIA Graphex
We last entered the PIA Graphex Awards in 2009. That year we showcased 4 pieces, one of which won the “Best in Category” award while the other three entries were given the “Award of Excellence”. This year we entered 5 potential winners in hopes to get to take home some Best of Categories!
Drumroll please…
This year we won THREE, count em’, 3 “Best in Category” awards. We also received two “Awards of Excellence” from the group so needless to say, we are a bit excited this year. 🙂
We would like to thank all of our customers that were involved in creating these excellent pieces because without you, we couldn’t have pulled off these wins! Check out the entries below and come visit the shop to see the winners in person!
“The Silver Sleek”
Award of Excellence – Announcements and Invitations
This invitation and dinner menu is an exceptional use of multiple capabilities. Showing off silver sleeking abilities and white ink on black substrate with soft touch lamination. It doesn’t get much better than this!
“#Voomie Card”
Best of Category – Single Stationary Item
We have had countless comments on our new business cards that we added last year and it must have been for good reason! With red 110# center sheets and soft touch lamination on one side, these super thick cards definitely have a great feel. We also utilized our Mosaic Software to create a totally unique image on the back of every single card we printed, some really fun and cool technology !!
“Mount Up!”
Award of Excellence – Single Stationary Item
Another business card that we entered from one of our customers. This mounted card showcases both spot sleeking and soft touch lamination, as well as white ink. With the thin red middle mount, the colors all work well together to make a great first impression!
“The Topper”
Best in Category – Wide Format Printing POP
This one was a fun one! We were tasked to create a seasonal desk topper for our customer as an internal communication to it’s employees. Our design team took charge and came up with this awesome work from scratch! This just goes to show what creativity can do in this industry. 🙂
“Durable Donator”
Best in Category – Wide Format Printing Special Installation
A philanthropic group from Southern California has been our customer for some time now, purchasing cardboard bins that they place around the city to accept donations. At the end of last year they tasked us to build something stronger and more durable so the bins would last longer on the streets and therefore be able to accept more donations.
