Another new service brought to you by Voom !
What is it?
Dye sublimation is a printing process that utilizes heat to transfer images onto polyester based substrates. It differs from traditional printing in that the ink is converted from a solid to a gas, bypassing the liquid state, and permanently dyes the polyester material. As opposed to the ink-to-plate-to-substrate method, in which ink sits on the surface of the substrate. This application produces high quality, full color graphics that most definitely stand out.
What does this application mean for your business? You can custom brand almost anything and gain the attention of new followers. Check out some ideas below and as always, just ask Voom about your next job.
(The box in the collection below was not dye sublimated, we just wanted to remind you that we do boxes in-house. 🙂 From start to finish, everything can get done with Voom!)
When to use it?
If you are looking to get your brand out there by way of promotional items, dye sublimation is the way to go. Unlike the laser, dye sub allows full color print on a multitude of products. This will enable you to stay in line with your brand identity and message with full, four color process. The gallery above should get the creative juices flowing and stew some ideas for your next job. If you haven’t used Voom for your promotional item needs, why not?
This technology is not limited to promotional items though. Dye sublimation can be used for customer gift sets, office signage and graphics, or just branding the office. Metals and fabrics are some of the most popular substrates to print on so keep that in mind for your next job.
Still unsure about the dye sublimation process? You can get more in depth on the topic here or you can always give us a call. All you need to do is just ask Voom! 🙂
